Who am I?
Γεια χαρά! Είμαι η Ρίτα!
Σε μια άλλη ζωή σπούδασα Αγγλική Φιλολογία και έκανα διδακτορικό στη συγκριτική λογοτεχνία. Νόμιζα πως θα ακολουθήσω ακαδημαϊκή πορεία, αλλά η ζωή είχε άλλα σχέδια. Μετά από χρόνια σε Αμερική και Αγγλία, γύρισα στην Κατερίνη, όπου ζω με την οικογένειά μου.
Πινέλο έπιασα πρώτη φορά στα 40 μου. Πριν καταπιαστώ με τα χρώματα και γενικότερα το DIY δεν ήξερα να ράψω ένα κουμπί! Κι όμως, τα χρώματα ξύπνησαν κάτι μέσα μου. Κι αυτό που ξεκίνησε σαν απλό βάψιμο, έγινε σιγά σιγά ανάγκη για κάτι βαθύτερο, για καλλιτεχνική έκφραση και δημιουργία.
Πιστεύω ότι η δημιουργία είναι εσωτερική μας ανάγκη, μέρος της ψυχής μας και της λαχτάρας μας για έκφραση. Όσο μεγάλοι και να είμαστε, ό,τι άλλο και να συμβαίνει στη ζωή μας, η δημιουργία μάς βοηθάει να εκφράσουμε τη χαρά, να διοχετεύσουμε τη λύπη, να ξεσπάσουμε το θυμό. Είναι ψυχοθεραπεία!
Αν κι εσύ βρίσκεσαι στο ίδιο καράβι, όπως λένε στα αγγλικά, και θέλεις να κάνεις το επόμενο βήμα και να φτιάξεις μοναδικά έπιπλα που εκφράζουν τον εαυτό σου, είσαι στο σωστό μέρος!
